Week 46 - 07/01/18 - Group Email

Recently the spiders have started coming out so we have been seeing them around. I don't like spiders very much so as a result I had a way sketchy nightmare/sleep walking incident involving spiders. I thought there was a giant web right above my face and spiders everywhere so I jumped out of bed and turned on the lights and probably yelled a few times but don't quite remember. It was not cool! lol

On a different note we had a really good lesson with one of our investigators about repentance and committed him to begin taking the steps to repentance. We have been noticing changes in him and he said he has been recognizing God's hand in his life. Here is one thing he said that cracked me up. So recently his house has been getting remodeled and I guess they noticed a rotted pillar or something that they hadn't found just before it was too late and would've cost more money. Well our investigator told his wife that he thinks it was God's timing that they found the rotting wood when they did. His wife doesn't like Christianity so she said "No it was because my dead mother and father not God!" haha. He still thinks it was God though so his faith is growing! 

On Saturday we had a youth activity where we cooked pizzas in a dutch oven at the park. It was interesting because only one youth came so it was just the leader and us 4 missonaries. The pizzas were good but the sunburns from sitting in the sun for 4 hours weren't... 

We did a district blizt this week then grabbed sushi which was a good time. We also met these two way cool kids who were doing parkour. One of the kids showed us and they were actually super good, it was dope! I'll send the vid. 

Last pday we had a chill time at Enoshima island. The weather was nice so it was a fun/relaxing time.
