I transfered to my new area Kofu this week and let me tell ya it's paradise here. I'm completely surrounded by mountains so I feel right at home! My new comp is named Elder Waldron and he's from Vegas and seems like a good dude so far. It was a long week saying bye to everyone in Atusgi and meeting tons of new people in Kofu but things are settling down now. I am back in a 4 man apartment so that should be a good time. One of the other Elders is Japanese so I can annoy him with all my Japanse questions and the other is Brazilian so we've got some diversity haha.
We did some service this week. We helped out at a relay event where people walked around a short 200m circle to support some cause against cancer for like 24hrs. Well we blew up some balloons and helped clean up after but during the event there weren't a lot of people walking around the circle so they asked us to just walk and hold a sign haha. It was very interesting service.
Before I left Atsugi we had a lesson with someone and during the lesson a guy came pounding on the door but the person we were teaching didn't know him so we just continued. Well like 2 minutes later he came back and pounded again and started yelling some stuff about a bike so we opened the door. Well apparently my bike was parked in a spot that was in the way of his huge car and he was abolutely furious! He had a giant tattoo on his chest so I'm convicnced he was Yakuza (Japanese Mafia) or something haha He was using way savage Japanese and rolling his R's which means he was very mad lol. That was the first time I have seen a Japanese person even remotely that mad. Hope everyone has a great week!!
